The University French Teachers Association of Nigeria (UFTAN) is a professional association dedicated to the advancement of French language teaching and learning in Nigeria. Founded in 1986, UFTAN has over 500 members from universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across the country. UFTAN’s mission is to promote the use of French in Nigeria, to improve the quality of French language teaching, and to provide support and professional development for French teachers.
